General English Adults

International House Benghazi has a ten week term. Each term covers one third of a language level, e.g. Upper Intermediate A. After a placement test and interview students join classes at either the A or the B stage. The focus of a General English Adults Course is learning to use English effectively, developing all four language skills –listening, reading , speaking and writing.

Students are presented with and encouraged to use a wide range of vocabulary and grammar teachers focus on creating an atmosphere where students are encouraged to speak and improve their fluency, accuracy and pronunciation and to be more confident.

There are three two hour lessons a week (Saturday, Monday, Wednesday) or Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday). Students can choose the most suitable class time – morning, afternoon or evening (according to availability). A certificate verifying the length, level and grade achieved by the student at the end of a specific course is issued on completion.
